    Hi & Welcome to Feed Yourself Plants!

    I’m Bruna, the home cook, recipe developer, photographer, and overall content creator behind this blog. I created Feed Yourself Plants to share recipes that are plant-forward, easy-to-prepare, accessible, and family-friendly.

    As a long-time veggie enthusiast, my goal is to show how eating wholesome and plant-based meals can be varied, simple and so delicious! From quick and easy weeknight dinners to crowd-pleasing dishes that the whole fam will love, my recipes are all about keeping things accessible, stress-free, and most importantly, incredibly tasty!

    About me

    I’m a Brazilian living in Vancouver, Canada, and I started creating recipes and playing with food photography as a creative outlet while transitioning to a more plant-based diet. As I discovered new ingredients and experimented with new seasonings, I found a new world where I could make delicious yet healthy meals using mostly vegetables, grains, legumes, and fruits.

    As I fell in love with cooking, I decided to start a recipe blog in Portuguese to share my creations with family, friends, and anyone who shared the same love for plant-based foods. My first blog has been around for 5 years, and when I moved to Canada, it seemed obvious to create an English website to share my creations with even more people in a new language.

    Throughout the years, I’ve taken cooking classes and worked in restaurants to expand my knowledge. But what I really enjoy is making cooking and eating healthy, delicious meals easy and stress-free. I like to keep things uncomplicated and easy to prepare, while still using a variety of ingredients to show you the different options of the plant-based world. Most of my recipes use accessible ingredients, so everyone can try them.

    This blog is a celebration of the possibilities of plant-based foods! I do my best to explain all recipes carefully and provide the reason for using certain ingredients and techniques, as well as possible substitutions and variations so you can use what you have at home or what you like the most. If you have any questions, just leave a comment on the recipe, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
